“Captain Keith is an enthusiastic and generous teacher. We had an amazing day on the water and great photos to share!”
— Tim Milbert, Charter Guest
"What a great way to spend the day and we've got plenty of fish for dinner. Everyone should spend a day on the ocean with Knotty Veteran. So much fun! "
— Wendi Smith, Charter Guest
Our goal is that you have a great charter and we do a lot to prepare for your trip. Here’s how you can prepare and what you need to know:
Out on the water
We monitor the weather prior to your trip and while we’re out on charter to have the safest trip possible. Safety is always a top priority for us, and here are two things for you to keep in mind:
We always prepare to fish in waves and wind. If the weather is great, it’s a bonus.
Offshore fishing can be an adventure. The weather might change quickly, and conditions can get rough.
Preparing for your trip
We’ll be out on the water and exposed to the elements and most likely, out in the sun all day. You should also be prepared for foul weather—rain doesn’t stop us from fishing! This means you should bring some personal items to stay comfortable and hydrated. Here’s a list:
Clothing: Long sleeve shirts or sun guards, warm clothes, hats, sunglasses, gloves, bathing suit, boat shoes or sandals
Food (we provide ice and cooler): Drinks, water, snacks, other food for a full day trip
Personal items: Camera, sunscreen, medication. We highly recommend that you take Dramamine (or other sea sickness medication) both the evening before your charter and again the morning of your trip, especially if you are worried about getting seasick.
Payment in full is due upon booking.
The charter trip is held in rain or shine and at all temperatures. There are no refunds for a completed fishing trip. This includes partially completed trips at the customer request. For example: seasickness, weather, overheating, exhaustion, or any personal issues.
100 percent refund if canceled more than 14 days prior to the charter trip.
50 percent refund if canceled between 3 days (72 hours) and 14 days prior to the charter trip.
There are no refunds for cancellations made by the client 3 days (72 hours) prior to your trip launch.
Charter trips may be rescheduled once with at least 3 days (72 hours) notice. Refunds are not available for the cancellation of a rescheduled trip.
You will receive a full refund or reschedule the date of the charter is canceled by the Captain due to extreme sea conditions. This includes: Tropical storm or hurricane, or unusually rough sea conditions.
Returning to the Dock:
We do not cut the trip short for a single passenger. It must be an unanimous decision to return to dock early. There are no refunds for a partial trip.
